Field Service Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: Field Service Engineer. Location: Fully Remote • San Diego, CA (Servicing Southern California)

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose & troubleshoot technical issues in heat treatment equipment at customer sites.
• Perform installation, repairs, calibrations, & preventive maintenance.
• Document service activities & identify potential warranty claims.
• Promote up-selling & cross-selling of heat treatment services;
• Prepare necessary tools, consumables, & spare parts for service execution.
• Act as the first point of contact for customers with service contracts.
• Plan & coordinate service jobs in alignment with the HUB Lead.
• Maintain accurate work logs & submit expense reports timely.
• Follow all company safety policies & procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance (heat treatment industry preferred).
• Strong mechanical & electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of heat treatment equipment, calibration, pyrometry, & vacuum/thermal systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, & CRM systems;
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Valid driver’s license & required automobile insurance.
• Ability to live within or near the assigned HUB location.
