Job Description
Job Title: Field Service Engineer - HUB. Location: Fully Remote • Souderton, PA • Field Service. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) plans and coordinates assignments related to equipment installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration, ensuring high-quality service for Ipsen's customers.
Responsibilities:
- Install and start new equipment or modify existing setups at customer facilities to ensure operational functionality per specifications.
- Review project scopes and budgets to align with allocated parameters.
- Identify and resolve technical issues with heat treatment equipment, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration.
- Analyze equipment reports to recommend repairs or replacements.
- Coordinate problem-solving activities with Tech Support, AMS Parts Group, and Engineering teams.
- Promote upselling opportunities for services and act as the first point of contact for customers with service contracts.
- Accurately record job hours and submit expense reports.
- Train customers on equipment usage and safe operation.
- Follow Ipsen and customer-specific safety protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out and confined space guidelines.
- Conduct courtesy visits during open time to inspect equipment and recommend services.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2 years of industrial equipment operation/maintenance + industry training program completion.
- OR 4+ years of related experience.
- Preferred: Equipment calibration, pyrometry, vacuum, thermal, and TUS experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and customer service focus.
- Knowledge of algebra, geometry, and volume/pressure concepts.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and software.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance (per Ipsen Travel Policy).
- Ability to travel up to 90% (domestic & occasional international).

Instructions:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds).
