Field Service Representative

Job Description

Job Title: Field Service Representative. Location: Chicago, Illinois (with travel to Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on various equipment (e.g., valves, air compressors, process pumps).
• Maintain and calibrate water treatment systems, ensuring contract compliance for volume and quality specifications.
• Monitor and optimize equipment performance while conducting regular maintenance activities;
• Assist clients with site-specific technical support and provide informal training on system operations.
• Conduct analytical testing for water quality (e.g., turbidity, pH, chlorine) and review plant installations for compliance with reference drawings.
• Maintain spare parts inventory, including chemicals and replacement parts.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation for all work performed and create detailed technical reports.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED, or international equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in service/maintenance or in an industrial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License;
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certification in Instrumentation.

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Proficiency in using technical tools and systems to manage and maintain water treatment technologies.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
