Finance Director, Asia Onshore

Job Description

Supervise the Finance function for Strategy & Planning, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Risk Management. Deliver substantial and complex sustainable energy infrastructure projects as a key member of the APAC Finance leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals across different locations, fostering a collaborative and efficient culture.

Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring adherence to policies in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regional leaders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Monitor and report financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions. Develop subregional monthly Performance Reviews.

Oversee monthly financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure timely completion of all audits and statutory accounts.

Develop the budgeting and forecasting process for the subregional area. Collaborate with stakeholders to set financial targets and track performance. Evaluate investment proposals.

Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to policy makers and leadership peers.

Influence and implement financial strategies aligned with business targets.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles.

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Experience in project-oriented organizations; infrastructure and energy sectors are a bonus.

Full understanding of financial regulations and compliance.

Solid experience working in a matrix organization.

Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean is desirable.
