Position: Financial Analyst  

Company: ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales

The primary focus of this role is on MtM (Mark-to-Market) & P&L (Profit & Loss) reporting within the FINOPS team, alongside automating reporting & FINOPS tools. The role involves preparing valuations, reconciling P&L between systems, and developing automated financial tools & dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:

• MtM Valuations: Prepare valuations & support Accounting teams in explaining P&L movements.
• P&L Reconciliation: Reconcile economic and accounting P&Ls.
• Back Office Functions: Gain an understanding of key Back Office functions in energy management.
• Tool Development: Create quantitative & qualitative tools for financial analysis & business control.
• Process Automation: Automate manual processes for financial & operational performance reporting.
• Month-End Closings: Collaborate with Finance, Back Office, and Risk teams during month-end closings.

Required Skills:

• Quantitative & Programmatic Skills: Essential for analysis & tool development.
• Financial/Business Analysis: Demonstrated experience in financial analysis & P&L reporting.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to analyze & present problems to senior management.
• Market Knowledge: Understand & explain commercial activities & strategies.
• Performance Insights: Measure & provide insights into commercial performance vs. benchmarks.
• Team Collaboration: Assist others & take initiative for process improvements.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure tasks are completed accurately & on time.
• Ownership & Diligence: Commit to routine tasks with responsibility.

Education & Professional: Degree: Preferably MSc in an analytically focused discipline. Experience: 1-2 years of exposure to Trading, Finance, or Risk Management. Languages: English: Fluent proficiency required.
