Financial Controller (M/F)

Job Description

Job Title: Financial Controller (M/F). Location: Dublin, Ireland. Join a fast-growing renewable energy company as a Financial Controller and play a key role in Ireland’s green electricity transition. Reporting to the Senior Financial Controller in Dublin, you’ll oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and corporate finance matters for Neoen’s operations in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

Financial Procedures & Compliance

  • Coordinate financial information between local teams & external accountants.
  • Process invoices & payments while ensuring compliance with Irish GAAP.
  • Oversee revenue invoicing, receivables monitoring, and payment processing.
  • Support statutory audits & assist in implementing internal controls.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist in budget preparation, forecasts, & cash flow management.
  • Analyze variance reports & ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly & semi-annual consolidation packages, ensuring compliance with group procedures.

Tax & Corporate Finance

  • Review tax filings & ensure compliance with Irish tax regulations.
  • Support tax efficiency strategies for projects & corporate operations.
  • Prepare debt drawdowns, bank reports & maintain banking relationships.

Business Development Support

  • Assist in financial modeling, tax analysis, & M&A due diligence.
  • Support project development teams with financial structuring.
  • Participate in financial reviews of EPC & O&M contracts.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in audit, finance, or accounting (multinational or energy sector experience is a plus).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, proactive approach, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
