Job Description

Job Title: General Manager Finance, Retail. Location: Melbourne, Australia

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head of Retail to deliver financial forecasts, budgets, and reports.
• Lead monthly financial forecasting and assess the business’s progress towards goals.
• Provide actionable financial insights that guide business decision-making and strategy;
• Work closely with the finance community to support investment decisions and ensure financial risks are identified and mitigated;
• Manage the annual budgeting process and medium-term planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Identify efficiencies to improve financial performance and address potential risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related field.
• Extensive experience in senior finance roles, ideally in complex multinational organizations.
• Strong understanding of the Australian power/gas market dynamics;
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across organizational levels;
• Proven ability to challenge existing practices and develop innovative solutions.
