Geotechnical Engineer

Job Description

Langan is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join its team in Denver, CO, focusing on field investigations, foundation monitoring, and geotechnical engineering reports for large-scale projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Plan and execute field investigations, including logging borings, collecting samples, performing tests, and recording data.

Monitor foundation and earthwork construction, ensuring compliance with specifications.

Solve routine and complex field and laboratory problems.

Prepare logs, field forms, investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs.

Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches.

Communicate effectively with supervisors on project challenges.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.

0-2 years of work experience.

Minimum GPA of 3.0.

EIT Certification or FE exam registration preferred.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and multitasking abilities.

Willingness to spend majority of work hours in the field.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
