Global E&S Specialist

Job Description

The Senior HSE Specialist supports the Blades E&S Manager, focusing on developing and implementing HSE best practices across all blade plants. This role requires monitoring and reporting on the implementation of HSE Plans, Management Systems, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide visible, strong, and active leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.

Act as a role model for HSE, providing competent advice and promoting responsible attitudes.

Ensure compliance with HSE requirements from customer contracts, local legislation, and SGRE standards.

Maintain and control site HSE plans and required documentation like Safe Systems of Work.

Develop detailed HSE processes and procedures to meet compliance needs.

Monitor site KPIs and develop action plans as necessary.

Guide on-site HSE personnel on best practices.

Investigate incidents thoroughly and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

Collaborate on troubleshooting HSE issues at sites.

Promote a proactive approach to HSE among team members.

Enforce disciplinary measures as per Zero Tolerance Policy for HSE breaches.

Liaise with site management on HSE implementation.

Prepare HSE reports including KPI analysis and contractor performance.

Manage contractors in accordance with HSE procedures.

Identify and involve relevant stakeholders in case of significant HSE deviations.

Define corrective actions for all HSE incidents and ensure proper investigations.

Support site closure activities with clients.

Key Qualifications

Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to leading change.

3-5 years of experience as an HSE advisor/specialist.

Solid knowledge of international, local/national HSE regulations and compliance obligations.

Deep understanding of environmental rules and regulations.

Project management experience preferred; ability to educate and improve work environments expected.

Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 beneficial.

Structured approach, team player mindset, and solution-oriented.

Strong communication skills in English and Scandinavian languages (working proficiency required).

Experience in multicultural environments, ideally within renewables or similar industries.

Confident speaker with flexibility to handle role challenges and travel requirements.

Valid driver’s license and excellent fitness level for travel and plant floor activities.

Proficiency in MS Office and understanding of local legislative HSE requirements.
