Grid Engineer

Job Description

Be a part of a dynamic team working on onshore wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the UK. Manage grid connections for renewable energy projects, act as the single point of contact for system operators and electrical works contractors, provide technical advice, and stay informed on grid connection policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage grid connection processes from site selection to construction.

Liaise with contractors and system operators to ensure timely project energisation.

Collaborate with project teams on technical and commercial aspects of contracts.

Ensure grid code compliance and timely Final Operational Notification for projects.

Stay updated on grid and distribution codes and industry policies.

Requirements:

Proven track record of on-time and within-budget project delivery.

Knowledge of UK power systems and grid connection processes.

Excellent technical and analytical skills.

Ability to identify issues and implement solutions.

Team player capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
