HSE Specialist - Environment

Job Description

As an HSE Specialist focused on technical environmental management, you'll ensure our facility complies with all relevant environmental legislation. You'll maintain environmental permits, conduct emission calculations, & coordinate external noise measurements. This role is based on-site at Plant Aalborg & involves collaboration with many internal & external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with Danish environmental legislation.

Maintain & update environmental permits.

Prepare & submit reports to authorities & internal stakeholders.

Service Directive:

Implement new Seveso directive requirements.

Assist in managing the plant's safety system.

Participate in environmental risk assessments & procedure optimization.

Environmental Management:

Perform VOC-emission calculations.

Coordinate external noise measurement analysis.

Manage relationships with external consultants.

ISO 14001 Implementation:

Create & update internal system documents (ISO 14001).

Perform self-assessments & generate ad hoc reports.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Communicate & collaborate with the local municipality & production stakeholders.

Provide training on environmental & sustainability practices.

Support production teams in selecting environmentally conscious solutions.

Collaboration:

Work closely with HSE team & other departments.

Engage with environmental experts from other factories.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

Relevant educational background in technical environmental management.

Practical experience in a similar role.

Skills:

Strong reporting & organizational skills.

In-depth knowledge of Danish environmental regulations.

Familiarity with ISO 14000 & other relevant standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Personal Attributes:

Fluency in Danish & excellent English skills, both written & oral.
