Job Description
REE is a technical leader in Mine Waste and Tailings, focusing on energy, environment, natural resources, and civil infrastructure. We are seeking a motivated Hydrogeologist to join our Water Resources Team and support our growing project pipeline.
Projects Include:
- Large Storage Facility Design (New, Existing, Closure)
- Mine Site Infrastructure Design and Water Management
- Contaminated Site Groundwater Management
- Pumped Hydroelectric Projects
- Mine Dewatering Assessments
- Civil/Construction Dewatering Assessments
- Water Balance Studies
- Environmental Impact Assessments
- Groundwater Risk Reviews
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute fieldwork programs (drilling, soil testing, groundwater monitoring).
- Critical analysis of groundwater and geological data.
- Geospatial and 3D analysis (GIS, Leapfrog).
- Quantitative groundwater assessments (SEEPW, HYDRUS, MODFLOW, GoldSim).
- Preparation of technical reports, maps, and figures.
- Training in health and safety, and professional development (specialist software training provided).
Education and Licensure:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in geology/earth science/hydrology/engineering.
- Preferred: Postgraduate MSc or similar in hydrogeology.
- Required: 2 years of direct consulting experience or equivalent; effective communication skills.
- Preferred: 5 years of consulting experience, experience with multi-disciplinary teams, strong GIS skills, data handling, fieldwork, Leapfrog, and numerical flow models.
