Installation / Vessel Supervisor

Job Description

Job Title: Installation Supervisor / Vessel Supervisor. Location: Morgan City, Louisiana (Onshore/Offshore Operations). Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite. The Installation Supervisor directs activities of workers involved in constructing Sub-Sea oil & gas infrastructure, dams, pipelines, or other construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface with clients, marine personnel & other divisions to ensure project success.
  • Study specifications & plan procedures for installation/IMR activities, staff needs & schedules.
  • Assist project managers with development of procedures & tooling for Installations/IMR projects.
  • Report vessel conditions & dock readiness for project activities.
  • Serve as the principal HSE agent on the vessel for OPG activities.
  • Supervise riggers & 3rd-party laborers.
  • Oversee supervisory personnel & subcontractors in planning, execution, & mobilization phases.
  • Resolve workforce grievances in collaboration with labor representatives.
  • Inspect work progress to ensure adherence to specifications & schedules.
  • Prepare or review reports on progress, materials, & costs, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Direct maintenance & reconditioning efforts for existing installations.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Deepwater Installations as an Installation Supervisor.
  • Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • Gulf Safe Training.
  • Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) & Water Survival Training.
  • Valid Passport.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & internet use.

PREFERRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school certificate or equivalent experience (1 year).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Effective communicator with a focus on consistent updates & collaboration.
  • Strong decision-making & priority management skills.
  • Ability to influence teams & translate vision into action.

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Offshore work near water, moving equipment, & elevated surfaces.
  • Exposure: High humidity, intense noise & glare, airborne dust, fumes, & potential flames.
  • Work Surface: Stable, elevated areas with constant physical activity.

Physical Requirements: Occasional: Lift 50-100 lbs, work in confined spaces, kneel, crawl, or use repetitive arm movements. Frequent: Lift 25-50 lbs, climb ladders, stand, balance, stoop, & twist. Constant: Lift 10-20 lbs, walk, & wear PPE for head, body, & hearing protection.
