International Procurement Trainee

Job Description

Job Title: International Procurement Trainee - Heat & Distribution. Location: London, UK. As an International Procurement Trainee, you’ll play a key role in supporting heat and distribution projects across the UK. This 12-month traineeship at Vattenfall provides hands-on experience in procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and sustainability compliance, helping to drive the transition toward low-carbon energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in procurement process development to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct RFQs, tenders, and negotiations with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, sustainability, and social value regulations.
• Help create and improve procurement contract templates and standards;
• Collaborate with procurement teams to enhance supplier management.

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate (or graduating by September 2025) with a degree in Procurement, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
• No more than one year of work experience post-degree (internships don’t count).
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus;
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and relocate for short-term assignments.
• Passion for sustainability and energy transition.
