Junior Operations Engineer

Job Description

Job Title: VIE/PANGEO Junior Operations Engineer - W/M. Location: Kilkenny, Ireland. The VIE will support the General Manager and Plant Managers in managing contract execution. The role involves delivering all commercial management processes required to ensure the business realizes the maximum sustainable value for all contracts and projects with the support of the GM.  

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.  
• Provide support to the General Manager and Plant Managers with existing Operate & Maintain (O&M) contracts.  
• Collaborate with the General Manager to identify claims, give timely notice, and support in defending against claims for accelerations, disruptions, or losses.  
• Develop strong written communication abilities and the ability to negotiate a strong commercial position for the company.  
• Gain exposure to the processes of estimating, pricing, and quantity surveying on contract variations while assisting the project team on projects.  
• Evaluate contractor performance after project completion.  
• Work with the General Manager and Design Build (DB) team to develop bids and respond to tenders.  
• Assist Plant Managers in preparing monthly client reports and client billing.  
• Support operational sites in implementing quality and safety standards systems (VMR, LRQA, etc.).  

Qualifications:  

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process Engineering, or similar.  
• Strong IT skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.  
• Fluent in English.
