Job Description
Job Title: Kafka Platform Engineer. Join Ørsted IT in developing a cutting-edge cloud-based Kafka streaming platform to enhance data processing for energy asset monitoring & control. You'll collaborate globally, ensuring a secure, scalable, & cost-effective solution that empowers decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance & expand the Kafka streaming platform across cloud & on-premise environments.
- Implement Kafka streaming for low-latency use cases in asset operations, trading, & analytics.
- Collaborate with architects to define best practices & standards for Kafka;
- Troubleshoot streaming platform incidents & support data engineers in their projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Kafka technology, platform operation, or Kafka applications.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, & cloud resource management (Azure/AWS);
- Proficiency in automation, DevOps, IaC, & CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform).
- Experience with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Azure CLI) & software development (Python, Java, C#).
- Strong communication & documentation skills, with a collaborative mindset.
