Land Use Planning Intern

Job Description

Job Title: Land Use Planning Intern or Co-op - Summer 2025. Location: New York, NY, US, 10001-2727

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing documentation for NYC's Environmental Quality Review (CEQR), State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), & National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Draft Environmental Assessment Statements & Environmental Impact Statements;
• Conduct spatial analyses using GIS, research to develop datasets, & maintain organized data;
• Perform site visits, create maps & graphics, and conduct zoning analyses & site due diligence studies.
• Support proposal preparation and contribute to various land use planning tasks.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a degree in Environmental/Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, or related field.
• Proficiency in GIS & Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and analytical skills;
• Excellent written/verbal communication & ability to work independently or in a team.
