Lead Project Developer Wind

Job Description

Job Title: Lead Project Developer Wind South (m/w/d). Location: Regensburg, Germany (Hybrid: Office & Home-Working). As a Lead Project Developer, you will drive the development & execution of onshore wind energy projects across Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg & Hessen. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from site selection to securing permits, ensuring the expansion of Ørsted’s wind energy capacity in the region.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor regulatory & planning developments, identifying new project opportunities.
• Secure land agreements in collaboration with land acquisition specialists;
• Develop projects with internal & external stakeholders, ensuring feasibility & compliance.
• Manage planning studies, oversee bidding & contract processes, & ensure quality control.
• Lead the permitting process, securing necessary approvals for projects;
• Represent Ørsted in the region, engaging with landowners, municipalities, & industry events.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in renewable energy project development, preferably onshore wind in Germany.
• Strong decision-making & analytical skills, using data-driven approaches;
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills to engage with landowners, politicians & communities.
• Ability to handle challenges & setbacks throughout the project development cycle;
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize & proactively manage projects.
