Job Description

Job Opportunity: Electrical Components Specialist

The Electrical Components Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the electrical components of solar power plants, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Knowledge: Apply sound knowledge of basic electrical principles to oversee plant operations.

Document Preparation: Prepare various documents in compliance with ISO standards.

Problem Solving: Utilize Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective Action & Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to address and resolve issues.

Non-Conformities: Raise and manage non-conformities, conduct RCA, and track CAPA to ensure timely closure.

Preventive Maintenance: Supervise and verify preventive maintenance for solar power plant equipment, including modules and inverters.

Fault Rectification: Check and rectify faults in inverters and strings, including defective strings and modules.

Breakdown Maintenance: Oversee any breakdown maintenance activities.

Coordination: Coordinate with OEMs for spare parts, AMC, warranty, and service requests.

Monitoring: Monitor SCADA and WMS parameters, and report faults to maintenance technicians.

Module Cleaning: Verify module cleaning schedules and adherence.

Project Handover: Ensure project handover and takeover processes follow established protocols.

Issue Management: Maintain a list of plant issues and liaise with engineering, contracts, accounts, and environmental teams.

Community Liaison: Engage with local communities, contractors, and suppliers.

Resource Management: Manage spares, manpower, and budget efficiently.

Operational Meetings: Hold operational meetings with plant and head office teams.

Performance Analytics: Analyze plant performance parameters relative to design specifications (e.g., PV Syst) and address any performance shortfalls.

Qualifications:

Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience in electrical component management and maintenance within solar power plants.

Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of ISO standards, and familiarity with SCADA and WMS systems.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
