Manager - Wastewater, Recycling, and Lab

Job Description

The position oversees all operations of the Louisiana site's Wastewater and Recycling facilities, including the Recycling Plant (RCY), Ultra-Pure Water Plant (UPW), Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), Waste Management (WM), and Laboratory (LAB). Responsibilities include optimizing costs, enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a culture of safety and quality. The role involves managing budgets, leading capital projects, and providing technical expertise to support operational excellence.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.

5 to 7 years of industrial experience with 2-5 years in a supervisory role.

Required Skills/Competencies:

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Project management proficiency with a focus on safety and environmental sustainability.

Technical expertise in chemical processes, project management tools, and laboratory operations.

Ability to manage teams, influence stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Ensure all operations meet local regulations and company standards.

Lead teams to achieve throughput targets and cost optimization.

Manage capital projects and operational budgets effectively.

Provide regular updates on operational performance to key stakeholders.

Develop and implement development programs for team members.

Maintain compliance with ISO and OHSAS standards.

Specific Responsibilities by Area:

RCY: Explore recycling technologies, manage PV scrap returns.

UPW & WWTP: Maintain water quality, prevent unplanned outages.

WM: Manage hazardous waste disposal and cost reduction strategies.

LAB: Oversee analytical testing, maintain laboratory accreditation.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Head of Global Recycling & Environmental Facility Systems. Direct reports included.

Travel: Limited travel required (10-20%).

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and reaching. Compliance with safety standards and wearing of personal protective equipment.
