Marine Ecology Lead

Job Description

Job Title: Marine Ecology Lead. Location: Glasgow, GBR (Hybrid Work Option)

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical advice on marine ecological and marine consenting matters.
• Lead the preparation of environmental impact assessments (EIA) & associated documents (HRA, MCZ, WFD).
• Oversee the quality of deliverables, ensuring adherence to high standards & compliance with quality management procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance environmental outcomes.
• Drive business development by preparing proposals, engaging in client presentations & managing client relationships.
• Manage projects, including budgets, resources, & subcontractors.
• Mentor & support the development of team members.

Qualifications:

• Extensive expertise in marine ecology with experience in preparing and reviewing technical chapters & impact assessments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK marine consenting & licensing regimes.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor junior members, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Demonstrated experience in business development & project management.
