MRO Specialist (Equipment)

Job Description

Job Title: MRO Specialist (Equipment). Location: Mesquite, TX. The MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) Specialist will assist the Maintenance Manager with overseeing the maintenance management system, spare parts, & consumables inventory systems.

Responsibilities:

• Organize plant supply stocks, handle inventory transactions, initiate purchase requisitions, & conduct inventory counts.  
• Monitor & report on machine OEE, downtime, & operation costs.  
• Manage tooling, fixture, instrument calibration, repairs, & warranties.  
• Contribute to continuous improvement in cost reduction, OEE, & output.  
• Support equipment team scheduling, work orders, & shifts.  
• Provide machine/maintenance expertise for various projects (lean manufacturing, 5S, cost reduction, TPM).  
• Ensure compliance with Canadian Solar's ethical standards & environmental health and safety policies.  
• Support ISO 9001 activities.  
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:  

• Bilingual in Mandarin (Chinese) & English (working closely with vendors in China).  
• Technical aptitude in electrical, mechanical, & pneumatic parts.  
• Ability to lift parts/packages up to 50 lbs safely.  
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.  
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal).  
• Flexibility in work hours.  
• Numeric accuracy & attention to detail.
