Job Description
Job Title: Quality Control Inspector. Location: Hanover, Maryland. The Quality Control Inspector will comprehend specifications for testing/inspection procedures, use measurement equipment, & record results. You'll work with engineers, technicians, & production personnel to ensure products meet specifications. This role requires performing dimensional checks, visual inspections, & documenting non-conformance reports.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct 1st piece, in-process, & final inspections on materials, products, & assemblies.
- Read drawings, interpret specifications, & operate measurement equipment to validate parts.
- Perform dimensional & visual inspections of fabricated & machined parts according to criteria.
- Ensure calibrated measuring tools are used for inspections.
- Complete nonconformance reports & other required inspection records.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience in quality control or equivalent education/training.
- CMM inspection & programming experience.
- Skilled in calipers, micrometers, & geometric tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & basic technical mathematics.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Desired: Experience with PCDMIS software, Romer Arms, & Leica Laser Tracker Systems.
