Job Description
Job Title: Senior Operational Buyer – Operations & Maintenance. North America (specifically locations where ENGIE operates renewable assets like solar, wind, and battery storage)
Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management: Manage procurement activities for renewable energy assets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment for operations & maintenance.
- RFP & Supplier Negotiation: Develop and document Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and negotiate procurement agreements, collaborating with legal and business teams.
- Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, implement corrective actions, and ensure suppliers fulfill contractual obligations while managing escalations.
- Project Management: Implement procurement strategies, manage purchase orders, and ensure compliance with contracts. Oversee procurement projects and generate reports on supplier performance.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolve invoicing/payment issues, and monitor performance.
- Collaboration: Work with Operational Teams, Business Stakeholders, and Category Leaders to ensure efficient procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Procurement, particularly in renewable energy (solar, wind, battery storage) and multi-regional North America operations.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in procurement tools like SAP, Ariba, and Coupa. Advanced Excel, Access, Power Pivots, and Microsoft Project skills.
- Soft Skills: Excellent relationship management, communication, and collaboration skills. Strong ability to work with senior management.
