GIS Technician

Job Description

Join our GIS team in Charlottesville to create exceptional geospatial analysis products, maps, and web-based GIS applications. Under the guidance of the Senior Director, GIS, you'll tackle new challenges and contribute to geospatial processes and technology support.

Your Role:

  • Support GIS Analysts with data tasks such as downloading, formatting, and updating datasets.
  • Use ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise and SaaS products to create maps and geospatial products following internal standards.
  • Maintain project geodatabases in line with best practices.
  • Seek out and participate in training to support both team and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a geospatial field (e.g., geography, GIS, CAD).
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS products, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize.
