Job Description

Position: Inspection Project Planner  

Location: Perth, Offshore/Onshore

Responsibilities:

Core Functions:

  • Ensure effective planning for all inspection activities, including pressure systems, pipelines, and structures.
  • Develop inspection plans in alignment with integrated inspection strategies.
  • Align the Maintenance Management System (MMS) data set to ensure that inspection Planned Maintenance (PMs) & Work Orders (WOs) are appropriately scheduled & monitored.
  • Engage with the Project Team to ensure relevant gate criteria are met.
  • Liaise with the Client’s Planning Department to update gate compliance & schedule inspection activities into the offshore planning process.
  • Update scheduled start & finish dates within MMS to coincide with planned inspection visits.
  • Monitor & update integrated inspections weekly for discussion with the Client Integrity team.
  • Collaborate with company Inspection Engineers & Engineering Assistants to ensure full visibility of planned & completed works.
  • Develop innovative solutions to optimize project efficiency & differentiate Oceaneering from competitors.
  • Attend technical & operational meetings as required.
  • Ensure Operations Managers/Team Leaders approve or are informed of all external communications related to their projects.

General: Perform additional tasks as reasonably expected within the job scope. Assist with any other duties as required. Undertake specific projects as instructed by Management.

  • Ensure understanding & adherence to Safety policies & procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure personnel meet necessary Health & Safety performance standards related to their work environment.
  • Clearly identify & assess business & HSE risk implications of integrity issues, communicating them to the Oceaneering Integrity Management Team & the Client.
  • Perform tasks with due diligence regarding the Company’s Integrated Management Systems.
  • Eliminate waste, suggest environmentally friendly practices, & contribute to continuous environmental improvement.

Qualifications:

Qualifications & Training: Base qualification in Engineering, database systems, or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Project. ECITB Project Management or equivalent. Experience with MMS Systems (MAXIMO, SAP, etc.).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Planning within the Engineering field. Experience in the inspection/integrity field. Desirable experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. Proven ability to work effectively with internal & external stakeholders, including peers, senior management, & external vendors.

  • Ability to generate a team approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish & maintain positive working relationships with clients & contractors at various seniority levels.
  • Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure.
