PMO Manager

Job Description

Job Title: PMO Manager. Location: Glasgow. The PMO Manager will oversee quality assurance and adherence to processes within the SPR Program Office, covering the full lifecycle of onshore renewables projects—from Development through Delivery. This role involves managing key processes, establishing governance, and ensuring consistent project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Stage Gate Process Management:
 - Plan and manage stage gates from Origination through to Delivery.
 - Facilitate meetings, define terms of reference, and ensure checklist compliance.

Project Review Board Process:
 - Manage Project Review Board meetings and reporting cycles.
 - Ensure timely issuance of Project Director Reports and adherence to processes.

Risk Management Process:
 - Implement Risk Management methodology and manage the risk portfolio.
 - Facilitate risk governance meetings, track risks, and ensure consistency in risk management.

Facilitation and Implementation:
 - Lead workshops, including lessons learned and improvement sessions.
 - Implement standardized frameworks and methodologies for project portfolio management.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in business or technical discipline.
  • Project or programme management certification.
  • Strong facilitation and people management skills.
  • Ability to manage cyclic reporting with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of renewables (Wind, Solar, BESS) and Power BI is preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience in managing programmes and multi-disciplinary teams.
