Power Plant Control Engineer

Job Description

As a Power Plant Control Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team, focusing on developing and implementing control solutions for Power Plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create requirement specifications, design descriptions, verification procedures, and reports.
  • Design and implement control solutions for Power Plant control using MATLAB/Simulink/State Flow.
  • Test functionalities in simulation and lab setups, and debug issues.
  • Provide technical control solutions for installed Vestas Power Plants, considering all brand equipment.
  • Maintain performance of current Vestas PPC installed power plants to support the grid.
  • Propose and implement design concepts for power plant control solutions for upgrading installed power plants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Power System Engineering.
  • Experience in MATLAB Simulink, PSCAD or PowerFactory, and RSLogix.
  • Experience in software design for industrial control applications, SCADA systems, power plant controllers, and networking equipment.
  • Experience in handling end-to-end complex technical projects.
  • Strong technical communication skills to gather requirements and handle stakeholder expectations.
  • Experience in an innovative environment and managing sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Certified Prince2 practitioner.

  • Fluent in English (C level or higher).
  • Service-minded with a professional and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Good understanding of machines, components, and software.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex issues effectively.
  • Customer-oriented with an understanding of the complete business value chain.
