Power Plant Control Engineer

Job Description

As a Power Plant Control Engineer, you will be a key member of the engineering team, focusing on developing and implementing control solutions for Power Plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Create requirement specifications, design descriptions, verification procedures, and reports.

Design and implement control solutions for Power Plant control using MATLAB/Simulink/State Flow.

Test functionalities in simulation and lab setups, and debug issues.

Provide technical control solutions for installed Vestas Power Plants, considering all brand equipment.

Maintain performance of current Vestas PPC installed power plants to support the grid.

Propose and implement design concepts for power plant control solutions for upgrading installed power plants.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Power System Engineering.

Experience in MATLAB Simulink, PSCAD or PowerFactory, and RSLogix.

Experience in software design for industrial control applications, SCADA systems, power plant controllers, and networking equipment.

Experience in handling end-to-end complex technical projects.

Strong technical communication skills to gather requirements and handle stakeholder expectations.

Experience in an innovative environment and managing sub-contractors and suppliers.

Certified Prince2 practitioner.
