Principal Engineer, Water, Food & Beverage

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer, Water Market Leader, Food & Beverage. Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Other Geosyntec Canada offices optional)

Responsibilities:

• Develop & implement a strategic plan to grow Geosyntec's water market presence in the Food & Beverage sector.
• Lead business development efforts to secure new water supply, treatment, & re-use projects.
• Serve as a Client Account Manager for critical accounts, ensuring client satisfaction & repeat business.
• Oversee project teams for large-scale, complex projects, ensuring budgets, timelines, & quality standards are met.
• Collaborate across departments to align full-service capabilities with client needs.
• Mentor & manage junior and mid-career engineers and scientists.
• Participate in industry conferences to enhance visibility & establish thought leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• Professional registration (e.g., P.E.).
• 15+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater consulting (20+ years preferred).
• Proven expertise in industrial and municipal water projects, including treatment & re-use.
• Strong knowledge of federal & state regulations.
• Demonstrated success in growing a practice and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent leadership, technical writing, & oral communication skills.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license & ability to travel (up to 30% overnight travel).
