Process Analyst

Job Description

Job Title: Process Analyst. Location: Open to US and Canadian Locations. Veolia Water Technologies is seeking a Process Analyst to join their Services Team. In this role, you'll provide process-specific support and analysis for aftermarket customers in the UF, MBR, EDI, Thermal, ADT, and RO water sectors using Veolia's remote monitoring platform, InSight.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Provide process support, data review, and deliver detailed customer-centric process review reports to InSight clients via regular phone and email communication.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis and provide timely troubleshooting support using data from full-scale operating membrane-based water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Customer Management: Manage customer expectations, deliver operational feedback, and ensure plant operations serve as positive references for Veolia.
  • InSight Setup Support: Assist the InSight setup team with site setups, tag, chart, and data quality reviews.
  • On-Site Audits: Travel up to 10% to perform plant process audits, troubleshooting, and cleaning assistance, and manage overall client relationships.
  • Project Assistance: Collaborate with service project managers on upgrades and project work for existing water plants.
  • Sales Opportunities: Identify opportunities for future sales.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with the Technical Support team to document and address issues using the Customer Issue Track (CIT) tool.
  • Technical Understanding: Read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Process Flow Diagrams, and Mass Balance.

Qualifications:

  • Education: 3-year Diploma or 4-year degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry. Equivalent water experience will also be considered.
  • Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, multitasking ability, and experience with membrane systems and water/wastewater treatment processes.
  • Technical Experience: Operations, commissioning, or design experience with membrane filtration (UF/NF/RO/Thermal/ADT/EDR) is an asset. Familiarity with instrumentation, control valves, rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, chemical addition pumps, and compressors is an advantage.
  • Programming Skills: Experience with Python, VBA, or R programming, and analytics development/data science.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French is an asset.
