Project Controls Specialist

Job Description

Position: Project Controls Specialist. Location: Houston, Texas, US

Responsibilities:

  • Develop & maintain project controls systems, including scheduling & cost control, to ensure timely & budget-friendly project completion.
  • Implement project control systems based on project complexity, risks, & contract specifications, aligning with company standards.
  • Manage budgets, change control processes, forecasts, & scheduling updates while adhering to industry best practices;
  • Coordinate with internal departments, discipline leaders, subcontractors, & other stakeholders to maintain information accuracy & smooth project flow.
  • Update project deliverables, including cost reports, schedules (Primavera P6), 30-day lookahead plans, & progress reports;
  • Conduct risk assessments, provide mitigation strategies, and offer actionable recommendations to the project management team;
  • Represent the project controls team during internal & external meetings, ensuring accurate communication of project progress.
  • Compile project close-out reports and as-built data for review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project controls, including cost management, scheduling, & change management, preferably in construction or renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
