Project Developer (Onshore)

Job Description

You’ll join our Project Development team, where you’ll collaborate with colleagues to oversee the development of onshore wind and solar projects within budget, ensuring readiness for construction.

key responsibilities:

Ensuring all site activities and project deliverables adhere to the highest safety standards and comply with relevant legislation.

Efficiently planning, organizing, monitoring, and reporting on all phases of project lifecycle.

Managing and reporting project risks, keeping management informed of significant developments.

Developing and overseeing project spending and budgeting, contributing to investment business cases, and presenting to Senior Management for approval.

Negotiating agreements such as consultancy contracts and land agreements, and providing input for commercial decisions to achieve optimal value.

Liaising with external stakeholders including planning authorities, community relations, statutory consultees, and landowners.

To thrive in this role, you should:

Hold a degree in engineering, sciences, planning, or related fields.

Have experience in UK onshore renewables (wind and/or solar), with a strong grasp of associated environmental and technical constraints.

Possess broad knowledge of UK planning regimes specific to onshore wind and solar, and awareness of evolving policy landscapes.

Demonstrate experience in landowner negotiations and/or public relations.

Understand renewable project economics, project risks, and effective management practices.

Have a track record managing technical consultants, ensuring project programs meet schedules and targets.
