Project Engineer, Electrical

Job Description

As an --Offshore Electrical Project Engineer--

you'll support the electrical design and oversight of large-scale offshore wind projects, including Leading Light Wind and Even Keel Wind. Your role involves electrical design, technical supervision during construction and commissioning, and collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities:

Electrical Design: Manage design consultants, perform studies (ampacity, electrical loss), and optimize inter-array and export cable designs.

Technical Coordination: Prepare documentation, liaise with OEMs, adapt designs to industry trends, and specify equipment.

Project Collaboration: Work with development, commercial, and finance teams for cost modeling, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with CVA recommendations.

Permitting & Construction: Collaborate on rights-of-way, permit documentation, site design, and commissioning support.

Engineering Best Practices: Develop internal documentation, explore software needs, and provide training.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

3+ years in renewable energy or offshore industry.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25%.

Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Preferred Skills:

5+ years in offshore wind or oil & gas.

Experience with HVDC, GIS technologies, and detailed electrical modeling.

Site experience and management of Marine Warranty Surveyors.

Strong leadership, communication skills, and international travel readiness.
