Engineer-Solar O&M

Job Description

Job Title: Engineer - Solar O&M. As an Engineer - Solar O&M, you will ensure optimal plant operation, focusing on process compliance, equipment management, and effective people management. Your role will include preventive and breakdown maintenance, SCADA and WMS management, and energy auditing. You will coordinate with OEMs, manage contracts, and liaise with local communities and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance:

  - Supervise and verify preventive maintenance for solar power plant equipment, including modules and inverters.

Fault Management:

  - Check and rectify faults in inverters and strings.

  - Manage breakdown maintenance and coordinate with OEMs for spares and service requests.

SCADA and WMS Management:

  - Maintain and monitor SCADA and WMS systems.

  - Address faults and ensure accurate data management.

Operational Oversight:

  - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and oversee module cleaning schedules.

  - Manage plant-related issues and liaise with various departments and local communities.

Contract and Spare Management:

  - Handle contract management and ensure availability of spares.

  - Oversee budget management and manpower allocation.

Energy Auditing:

  - Conduct energy audits to reduce power loss and improve efficiency.

  - Analyze plant performance parameters and carry out detailed case analyses.

Continuous Improvement:

  - Drive process improvements and implement industry best practices.

  - Ensure compliance with ISO/EHS policies.

Reporting and Analytics:

  - Provide data management and MIS reporting for operational plants.

  - Conduct performance analysis and operational meetings with plant and head office.

Qualifications:

• Education: BE in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 4-6 years in O&M, with at least 2 years in solar power projects.
• Strong operational expertise in solar power.
• Leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in multitasking and computer literacy.
• Analytical, intuitive, and decision-making capabilities.
