Senior Analyst, PARA

Job Description

Position: Project Accounting Reporting Analyst (PARA) at Chandigarh

Purpose: Assist the Deputy Manager with financial reporting and project accounting tasks, including month-end close activities.

Responsibilities:

Support month-end closing activities.

Review financial reports, analyze general ledgers, and drill down cost details.

Compile revenue schedules and record unbilled revenue.

Prepare cost schedules for monthly project costing.

Record journal entries in the ERP system as per approved schedules for revenue and costs.

Maintain schedules for sales reserves, deferred revenue, amortization, etc.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations through detailed analysis.

Assist in FLUX analysis preparation.

Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting/compliance.

Contribute to financial report preparation in line with corporate guidelines.

Help automate processes and support the team.

Assist in implementing financial standards.

Perform additional tasks as required by management.

Qualifications:

Required:

Professional/master’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years of finance and accounting experience.

Knowledge of cost accounting principles.

Understanding of financial modeling concepts.

Ability to work shifts as required.

Desired:

Working knowledge of ERP systems.

International experience is a plus.

Knowledge and Other Characteristics:

Strong analytical skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Collaborative working style with the ability to work across geographies and with a distributed workforce.

Detail-oriented and systematic.
