Job Description

Job Title: Senior Design Engineer. Location: Chandigarh, India. Department: Engineering. Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite. Design and develop devices, assemblies, or systems while validating technical specifications. Work independently & mentor others.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate customer inquiries & specifications for product or design problems.
• Design equipment, including concepts, detailed designs, drawings, calculations, & technical documents.
• Establish design approaches, schedules, & time estimates.
• Refine product designs & develop innovative solutions.
• Use industry codes & standards relevant to product designs.
• Perform tolerance stack-up analyses & review technical documents.
• Manage technical changes & ensure quality engineering deliveries within schedules.
• Communicate progress updates to customers & resolve technical queries.
• Lead design reviews, prepare process documents, and mentor junior engineers.
• Enhance existing engineering processes & contribute expertise to the team.

Non-Essential:

• Travel as needed for business requirements.

• Ensure compliance with safety protocols for a secure working environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of experience.

Desired:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks & PLM/PDM software.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical industry codes (e.g., ASME, API).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, calculations software, & Microsoft Office.
