Senior Land Surveyor

Job Description

Job Title: Senior Land Surveyor. Location: Dallas or Tyler, TX

Responsibilities:

• Reduce field data for survey preparation using CAD systems, including field files and calculated points.
• Conduct in-depth research on survey projects, covering deeds, utilities, roads, and subdivisions.
• Assist in calculating coordinates for construction layout and provide CAD drafting support.
• Maintain proficiency with changes in CAD systems and optimize efficiency;
• Calculate invert and subsurface utility data, based on field measurements.
• Provide boundary resolution support and assist the Project Surveyor in plotting deeds.
• Assist with office tasks like filing, data download, and electronic file management.
• Offer new ideas to enhance project efficiency and services;
• Stay updated on surveying practices, guidelines, and regulatory changes.
• Actively participate in internal training and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma (or higher) required; additional surveying qualifications preferred.
• Hands-on experience with topographic, boundary, utility surveys, and construction layout.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Terramodel, Carlson, and other related software.
• Strong attention to detail and solid mathematical skills;
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
