Job Opportunity: Operations Engineer – HV Systems

Join our Transmission team, where you’ll be a key member of a global team focused on regional compliance and HV operations. You’ll support local operations, assist in unplanned outage mitigation, and contribute to long-term strategic planning for HV operations.

Responsibilities:

• Model Validation: Lead project management and model validation (PSSE/PSCAD/TSAT).
• Failure Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of failures and propose improvements.
• HV Scope Requirements: Clarify operations HV scope requirements and provide feedback to EPC teams.
• Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews for new projects with the EPC team.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain relationships with regional system operators and transmission planners to ensure compliance.

Qualification:

• Modeling Knowledge: Understand dynamic system modeling and associated software.
• Regulatory Requirements: Be well-versed in NERC/ISO requirements for HV engineering.
• Event Analysis: Be comfortable with event analysis on HV power systems using symmetrical components.
• Software Proficiency: Have experience with relay/RTU settings software (GE, ABB, SEL relays and SEL RTAC).
• Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
