Job Description

Senior Sustainability Consultant. As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you'll provide strategic guidance and technical support for projects seeking third-party sustainability certifications like LEED, BREEAM, and WELL. You'll help drive ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, ensuring compliance and optimal outcomes while balancing client objectives.

Responsibilities:

• ESG Strategy Promotion: Support and advance AECOM’s Sustainable Legacies ESG Strategy.
• Technical Guidance: Offer daily technical support to design teams for integrating sustainability into projects and meeting quality standards.
• Certification Compliance: Interpret and apply requirements for LEED, BREEAM, WELL, and other certifications.
• QAQC: Provide quality assurance and quality control for sustainability certification projects.
• Data Analysis: Guide the collection and interpretation of client data related to energy, water, waste, and GHG.
• Knowledge Sharing: Lead internal knowledge sharing and staff development in ESG.
• Client Advice: Offer strategic advice for achieving Net Zero alignment and meeting sustainability targets.
• Global Coordination: Interface with AECOM’s Global ESG Practice and Technical Practice Groups (TPGs).

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree: Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: 4+ years in a sustainability-related field.
• Credentials: Active LEED AP.
• Experience with Certifications: Leading/supporting projects for third-party sustainability certifications (LEED, BREEAM, WELL).
• Reporting Frameworks: Familiarity with GRI, SASB, ISSB, TCFD, UN Global Compact.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree: Master’s in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in ESG, sustainability, or decarbonization.
• Technical Knowledge: Climate Change, Decarbonization Strategy, ESG.
• Additional Knowledge: GHG accounting and reporting standards, experience with Revit/BIM.
• Skills: Strong project management capabilities.
