Service Technician

Job Description

Position: Service Technician. Location: Edenderry, Ireland (with travel across UK & Ireland and occasional Europe travel). Sector: Wind Energy. Vestas Ireland is seeking a Service Technician with a background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics. Join a collaborative team dedicated to servicing and maintaining wind farms across the region.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance: Develop detailed knowledge of wind turbines for daily maintenance and field service tasks.
• Safety & Standards: Adhere to safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.
• Service Inspections: Conduct periodic inspections and troubleshoot components (electrical and mechanical).
• Teamwork: Work with technicians, supervisors, and office-based staff.

Qualifications:

• Background: Experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulics within a similar industry.
• Skills: Proven problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions.
• License: Full, clean driving license.
• Advantageous: Previous accreditation as AT/CT under WTSR.
