Job Description
Job Title: Service Technician. Location: Perth, Australia. We are expanding our Workshop team and seeking multiple Service Technicians due to increased workload and project demands. These permanent positions are based in our Jandakot Workshop, with opportunities for offshore work as required. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including those with Navy/Military experience and trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting, Electrical, or Hydraulic fields, as well as those transitioning from other industries into the Oil and Gas sector.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Promote a strong HSE culture at all times.
- Assemble and test mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic tooling.
- Service subsea tooling and assets.
- Read and understand basic hydraulic/electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- Operate general hand, hydraulic, and air tools.
- Fault-find and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic tooling.
- Complete testing and servicing paperwork to a high standard.
- Enter data into project and asset management software.
- Perform quality checks to ensure proper assembly, design, and functionality.
- Travel off-site for tool testing and maintenance as requested by customers.
- Perform offshore work as needed.
- Potentially travel internationally to assist operations.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic).
- Current COVID-19 vaccinations required for offshore work.
- Certificate IV in Fluid Power.
- Experience in offshore Oil and Gas and ROV tooling.
- BOSIET or FOET certification.
- Forklift licence.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., Step Back 5x5, JSEA, HSEQ systems).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to obtain a valid passport and other regionally mandated offshore work documents.
