Field Service Technician

Job Description

Job Title: Field Service Technician - Inverter Productline. Locations: US-Orlando, FL - Corporate 11950, US-Tyrone, PA, US-Portage, PA, US-Fairless Hills, PA, US-Patton, PA. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to service the inverter fleet in North America. The technician will be responsible for providing on-site service, maintenance, and repair of PV Inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Power Conversion Systems (PCS), and auxiliary systems. The role requires up to 75% travel, including international travel. Preference is given to candidates based in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site and remote technical assistance for PV Inverters, BESS, PCS, and auxiliary systems.
• Troubleshoot errors and perform RCA analysis of incidents.
• Offer classroom and on-site training for PV products.
• Support and lead commissioning of inverters.
• Respond to customer tickets using JIRA.

Knowledge/Skills:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintaining PV Inverters, BESS, PCS, or similar equipment.
• 1 year of utility-scale solar inverter or wind converter experience.
• Knowledge of Communication Networks, Power Electronics, Electrical Switchgear, and Cooling Systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Jira, and VPNs.
• Strong communication skills (English required; Spanish preferred).
• Flexible travel schedule, able to travel across the US and internationally.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and lifting up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to lift items between 60-100 pounds occasionally.
• Work in varied environments, including office and solar farm sites.
