Job Description

Job Title: Service Technician. Location: Goodland, Indiana (Onsite). Join one of the world’s leading suppliers of wind power solutions as a **Wind Technician** for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy! As a Wind Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing wind turbines to meet the growing demand for renewable energy. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure top performance on wind farms, troubleshoot issues, and execute maintenance tasks. This role is best suited for a flexible, self-motivated individual who can work in challenging environments.

Responsibilities:

• Service & maintain wind turbines
• Troubleshoot & resolve errors on wind turbines
• Escalate technical issues to supporting engineering teams
• Perform pre-defined technical tasks such as preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repair, and component replacement
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, & regulatory standards
• Work collaboratively in team environments, leading or assisting in projects or installations
• Effectively utilize computers, tablets, & software for operational tasks
• Work a flexible schedule to address issues independently & efficiently

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Minimum of 6 months experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields
• Physically able to work suspended from heights & in confined spaces
• Flexible travel schedule
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less (for safety regulations)
• Pass a physical exam & pre-hire background drug screening
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a Renewable Energy or Wind Technical Program
• Hands-on experience as a Wind Technician on a Wind Farm
• Familiarity with Senvion MM92 platform
• Relevant work experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, maintenance/troubleshooting in military, industrial, or automotive fields
