Job Description

Job Title: Wind Turbine Technician. Locations: US-Alta Farms, IL. Time Type: Full-time. Join our team as a Wind Technician to help maintain, troubleshoot, and service wind turbines, ensuring peak performance. This role involves working collaboratively in a dynamic team environment to resolve complex issues and contribute to developing field procedures and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Provide site-level support to the Site Manager (SM), acting as an extension to manage daily operations, interact with customers, and collaborate with technicians and vendors.
• Foster a strong safety and quality culture on-site, reporting HSE or quality violations immediately.
• Perform routine service and maintenance of wind turbines, including troubleshooting and resolving technical errors.
• Ensure timely completion of required documentation, including service checklists, work orders, time sheets, and expense reports.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the Site Manager or support teams as necessary.
• Conduct site inventory and maintain technical equipment.
• Work flexibly to address and resolve issues efficiently and independently.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial field.
• Ability to climb up to 250 feet and work in confined spaces.
• Compliance with body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less per safety regulations.
• Physical and mental fitness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred:

• 2+ years of wind experience.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Commitment to a safe work culture.
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
• Relevant experience in maintenance/troubleshooting in military, industrial, or automotive sectors.
