Job Description

Position: Site Electrical Engineer – Natural Gas Storage  

Location: Stublach Natural Gas Storage Site, Cheshire  

Company: Storengy UK  

Role Overview:

Manage and develop electrical asset management at Stublach, ensuring compliance with statutory and best practice guidelines.  

Oversee electrical contractors, plan and support maintenance, and develop preventive maintenance routines.  

Handle modifications to electrical systems, lead technical safety assessments, and manage CAPEX requests.  

Skills & Experience:

Experience: 5 years in oil, gas, or process industries; site-based Electrical Engineering role preferred.  

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.  

Certifications: High Voltage authorisation; NEBOSH General Certificate desirable.  

Knowledge: COMAH, DSEAR, HV & LV distribution, motors, VSDs, large drives, switchgear, UPS.  

Skills: Contract and project management, planning, reliability mindset, high attention to detail, autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:  

Manage electrical asset management and contractor performance.  

Plan and support electrical maintenance, outages, and preventive routines.  

Develop Scope of Work documents and contracting strategies.  

Lead site modifications, ensuring compliance with statutory and best practice requirements.  

Communicate with Regulators and Key Stakeholders effectively.
