Job Description
Job Title: Solutions Architect. Location: National (Remote or based on preference). Langan is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our national Digital Solutions practice. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing systems for software applications and custom client websites, with a focus on Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise technologies. You'll work in a fast-paced, Agile environment, creating modern web, mobile, and desktop applications using JavaScript/ES6+, React, and ArcGIS JavaScript 4.x.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test GIS web applications using React and the ArcGIS JavaScript API.
- Create intuitive user interfaces for tools, web/mobile apps, and dashboards.
- Build data visualizations, including map data, dashboards, and reports.
- Work with public cloud resources such as Azure and AWS.
- Support mobile initiatives with responsive design and Esri’s Field apps.
- Solve technical problems by proposing and implementing solutions.
- Promote GIS capabilities within Langan through demos, presentations, and training.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry best practices.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline required; Master’s degree a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in web application development using JavaScript and modern frameworks like React.
- Experience with GIS applications, especially web-based with ArcGIS JavaScript API.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTML5, CSS, REST, ES6+, etc.).
- Familiarity with development tools (version control, NodeJS/NPM, debugging, etc.).
- Experience in developing responsive and mobile-ready web applications.
- Knowledge of Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise) and Configurable Apps is a plus.
- Additional languages like Python, C#, and QT are a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

- Base Salary Range: $102,000 - $151,000. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, market conditions, education, and other factors. Eligible for annual bonus and performance review program.
