Sr. Energy Modeling Analyst

Job Description

Employees in this role develop models, price energy derivatives, & perform quantitative studies & analyses of spot/forward prices & volatilities for pricing, trading, & risk management decisions. This position assists in developing core algorithms & models to support trading, origination, & asset optimization decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop & improve mathematical models, translating algorithms into code.
  • Work with origination, risk management, & trading to interpret valuations from models & respond to intra-day trading requests for pricing & evaluating structured transactions.
  • Assist in developing energy price forecasts, forward curves, & volatility models.
  • Design & construct risk management tools for evaluating the company’s risk profile & exposure levels.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Master’s Degree
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting / Finance
  • Doctorate in Business
