Survey Data Analyst

Job Description

Job Title: Survey Data Analyst Location: Remote (with coverage for facilities in the UK, Angola, USA, and Brazil). The Survey Data Analyst is responsible for data processing, analysis, and quality control (QC) for survey activities, supporting global operations from remote locations. This role involves working with offshore staff, GIS, and Project Management teams, handling various types of survey data including photogrammetry, construction data, and metrology.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide data management, QC, and analysis for ROV pipeline and construction surveys.
  • Maintain exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) and attention to detail.
  • Execute tasks timely and diligently, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Mentor team members and assist with training within regional offices.
  • Comply with safety rules, conduct operations safely, and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Support the Company’s competency, HSE, and quality programs.
  • Participate in 24-hour QC shifts and weekend on-call rotation as needed.
  • Reports to Survey Data Supervisor.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in offshore/onshore surveying or equivalent skill level.
  • Practical experience in data management, analysis, mapping, and relevant software.
  • Understanding of offshore construction activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, OneNote).
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Understanding of DGPS, geodetics, USBL, and surface/subsea survey sensors.

Desired:

  • Experience with LBL and Metrology data processing.
  • Knowledge of photogrammetry, specifically using Agisoft Metashape.
  • Strong technical writing abilities.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to make timely, objective decisions and prioritize effectively.
  • Skill to manage time and organize information to meet operational needs.
  • Knowledge of safety inspection methods and accident prevention techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use information technology systems effectively.
  • Ability to determine and meet customer needs, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively.
  • High standards of honesty, trust, and ethical behavior.

Working Conditions: Remote work with potential global travel. Involves occasional shifts and weekend on-call responsibilities. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration across global teams.
