Job Description
Job Title: Tax Compliance Lead. Location: Melbourne, Australia. As the Tax Compliance Lead, you will ensure accurate and efficient handling of tax compliance for Australia. Your responsibilities include lodging tax obligations, maintaining financial records, staying updated on tax law changes, and supporting ENGIE’s tax strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and lodge income tax, BAS, and FBT returns, including maintaining detailed workpapers, schedules, and file notes.
- Handle tax effect accounting, including tax notes in statutory accounts.
- Provide business insights and analytics based on compliance activities.
- Offer general consulting and advisory services on tax matters.
About You:
- Qualifications: CA/CPA qualified or Masters of Tax.
- Experience: Significant professional experience in an accounting firm or in-house corporate tax.
- Skills:
- Expertise in tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes.
- Strong advisory skills on tax technical matters in complex business environments.
- Sound understanding of tax effect accounting and reporting applications.
