Technical Sales Manager

Job Description

Job Title: Technical Sales Manager. Location: US-Boston, MA. The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for overseeing the technical scope of offshore wind farm projects during the sales phase. The role emphasizes teamwork, technical leadership, & client collaboration to enable the renewable energy transition.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical sales project team through bid preparation, contract negotiation, & project handover.
• Define & develop optimal technical solutions in collaboration with clients, sales teams, & in-house experts.
• Negotiate technical requirements & specifications of Turbine Supply Agreements.
• Establish plans for design, bid preparation (Tenders), & Technical Due Diligences.
• Conduct internal reviews of client tender materials, identify risks, & define deviations.
• Provide cost inputs for technical solutions, including SCADA, tower quotations, features, & options.
• Report project status to the Sales Project Manager & ensure cross-departmental alignment.

Qualifications:

• Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering (or equivalent) with strong business acumen.
• Experience:
  • Several years in the wind turbine industry, preferably in R&D, project management, or sales.
  • Familiarity with offshore environments & large construction projects.
  • Experience in contract negotiations, particularly in wind energy or large-scale construction.
• Skills:
  • Strong practical, project management, & communication skills.
  • Proactive, outgoing, & able to work both independently & in teams.
  • Fluent in English (oral & written).
